OUR MISSION

Experience the Freedom and Fried Chicken Trail—a journey through Southeast Kansas that’s as rich in history as it is in flavor. Alongside fried chicken joints that have been local legends for generations, you’ll discover reminders of the courage and sacrifice that shape our way of life, all set against the backdrop of classic Americana. Here, the value of freedom is woven into the very fabric of our communities, a legacy of courage, resilience, and sacrifice. As you travel down historic byways and even brush up against Route 66, you’ll find small-town diners where apple pie is always on the menu and patriotism is more than a word—it’s a way of life. Come for the fried chicken, stay for the stories, and get a taste of the Kansas that lives on in the heart of every American dream. Come for the fried chicken, stay for the stories!
